General Questions
I completed my undergraduate geology degree from Western Washington University then received my graduate gemologist diploma and graduate pearls certificate from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). I genuinely love learning and there is always more to learn. I keep my skills sharp by enrolling in continuing education classes and seminars.
In order to provide the highest caliber of service to my clients I have to limit the number of projects I take on. Customer service is the utmost priority to me and I will not dilute the experience for those who want to work with me by taking on more projects than I can handle.

We work with trusted wholesale vendors and prioritize sourcing from known countries and mines when possible. There are different levels to traceability in regards to your stones: trusted wholesale vendors, country of origin, mine of origin. While we only partner with suppliers who adhere to responsible sourcing practices, full traceability can vary. Information regarding the country and or mine of origin can limit options, as not all stones meet these standards. The level of traceability will depend on your preferences and we are happy to be as transparent as possible during this process through open and honest communication.

Almost all of our diamonds come with GIA grading reports. As a graduate of GIA, I recognize the importance of these reports and the thoroughness of the grading process. Antique and vintage pieces, however, may not always be eligible for grading without risking damage to the mounting.
It is less common for colored stones to come with grading reports due to the lack of a universal standard for grading their cut. If a grading report is important to you, we can certainly source colored stones with reports, though it may limit the available options.
