Jewelry Care

Fine jewelry deserves a little TLC — and while it’s made to last, it’s not indestructible. We recommend removing your pieces before sleeping, showering, swimming, or working out. Even daily wear can expose your jewelry to subtle impacts, pressure, and environmental stress that may loosen stones or cause premature wear over time.

To help your pieces stay beautiful for years to come, store them in a soft pouch or lined jewelry box when not being worn to prevent scratches, tangling, or accidental knocks. Avoid exposing your jewelry to lotions, perfumes, sunscreen, household cleaners, or any harsh chemicals — they can damage metal finishes, cloud gemstones, or weaken delicate settings.

We also do not recommend ultrasonic or steam cleaning for pieces with enamel, antique components, pearls, opals and/or softer stones, or pavé/micro-set stones, as these methods can dislodge small stones or compromise older settings.

Treat your jewelry with care, and it’ll keep showing up for you; from everyday moments to afterparty entrances.

 

Warranty

At Lauren Cameron Fine Jewelry, every piece is crafted to last a lifetime. We’re proud to offer a one-year manufacturing warranty on all orders, covering any issues related to craftsmanship or structural integrity—such as loose prongs or the loss of small accent stones (0.20ct and under).

While this warranty doesn’t extend to larger center stones, general wear and tear, improper cleaning, or accidental damage, you can rest assured we’ll always guide you toward the best care for your piece. Resizing isn’t included in the warranty, but we’re happy to provide it for an additional fee if needed.

Should a manufacturing issue arise within the first year, we’ll handle the repair with our compliments. Clients are simply responsible for shipping costs to and from LCFJ headquarters.

Please note: This warranty is voided if the piece is worked on by a third party (including resizing, repairs, or stone setting adjustments made by another jeweler).

Vintage & Restored Pieces

Our curated vintage and restored vintage pieces have lived a little — and that’s what makes them special. You may notice signs of wear, patina, or character that come with age. Every vintage piece has passed our quality assurance process to ensure it’s ready for everyday wear (and compliments). These subtle marks are part of its story — not a flaw.

Appraisals & Insurance

We highly recommend insuring your fine jewelry through a reputable third-party provider, such as Jewelers Mutual. While our one-year manufacturing warranty covers craftsmanship-related issues, it does not cover theft, loss, or accidental damage.

Many insurance providers require an appraisal that reflects the retail replacement value of your piece in order to ensure full coverage. An appraisal not only brings peace of mind — it also protects your investment in the event of the unexpected.

Lauren Cameron Fine Jewelry offers appraisals on engagement rings and custom orders only. For all other pieces, we encourage clients to obtain an independent appraisal for insurance purposes.
