Beyond the Grave Fede Ring
Beyond the Grave Fede Ring
For a vow that defies time, distance, and death itself.
The fede ring, Italian for “faith", has a rich legacy, dating from Ancient Rome through the Middle Ages, where clasped hands served as intimate pledges of loyalty. This motif saw a heartfelt revival in the nineteenth century, embraced across Victorian jewelry as timeless symbols of love and fidelity.
An original LCFJ design inspired by these Victorian pieces, ours reimagines the iconic clasped hands: one rendered in flesh, the other in bone. Together they form a haunting emblem of love, fidelity, and friendship that endures beyond the grave.
In Victorian times, such imagery stood as a vow unbroken. A union of souls meant to last not only through life, but into eternity and beyond.
